Carelessly torn from the brittle binding of an archaic issue of VANITY FAIR was this page of shoe illustrations in which a smart pair of womens leather boots are the centerpiece, pictured alongside of a pair of satin dancing slippers, white buckskin tennis oxfords, a splendid pair of gold brocade slippers and a fantastic walking boot with a gaiter effect that ranks it among the most bodacious – there can be little doubt that this pair must have turned more than a few heads back in the day when Woodrow Wilson was president.
